Brittany Mahomes Breaks Silence on Baby Golden—Why Fans Won’t See Her Anytime Soon!

Brittany Mahomes is setting the record straight when it comes to the newest addition to her family, baby Golden Raye. The wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes took to social media recently to clarify why fans won’t be getting a first look at their newborn daughter anytime soon.

In an Instagram Story on Tuesday, Brittany reshared a video that sparked confusion among her followers. The clip featured a baby in a stroller, leading some fans to believe it was baby Golden. Brittany was quick to set the record straight, clarifying that the baby in the video was not hers. “I think I need to clarify, Golden is in the stroller,” she explained. “You can’t see her and won’t for a while.”

She further elaborated, explaining that the baby in the bouncer featured in the video was actually Makoa, the child of her trainer, Betina Gozo Shimonek.

Golden Raye Mahomes, born on January 12, marks the couple’s third child together. She joins older siblings Sterling, 4, and Bronze, 2. While Brittany has shared many precious moments of her life with her two older children, she has chosen a more private approach when it comes to baby Golden.

This decision isn’t new for the Mahomes family. Following the birth of their first daughter, Sterling, in February 2021, Brittany also kept her newborn daughter out of the spotlight for a time. At that point, she explained, “I know the Internet will instantly take the photos of her and share everywhere, so [I’m] just preparing myself for my newborn baby girl to be shared to the world! Right now we are just soaking in every minute with her.” It wasn’t until June 2021 that Brittany and Patrick shared a public photo of Sterling’s face for the first time.

With the NFL offseason now underway, Patrick has more time to focus on his family, making up for the moments missed during the busy football season. “Whenever I get in the offseason, I try to spend as much time as I can with them and get to see what they do on a day-to-day basis,” said the three-time Super Bowl champion.

As for Brittany, she has already returned to her active lifestyle, balancing motherhood with her workouts and her role as co-owner of the KC Current soccer team.

Though fans may be eager to catch a glimpse of baby Golden, it’s clear the Mahomes family is taking their time before introducing her to the world. For now, they’re focused on enjoying this special time together as a family before opening their doors to public attention.
